With the agricultural industry relying heavily on migrant workers, it is imperative to create a legal and workable immigration plan. As governor, I will implement a plan which benefits both employers and workers alike.
- Any person, who can prove that they have been a working for more than 5 years in California, will be granted citizenship.
- An agricultural work permit will be granted to anyone who currently has an agricultural job in California, followed by citizenship after 5 years on the work permit.
- Any person who has children born in the United States and who is living illegally in California must file for citizenship and receive it with proof of employment.
